All of our meats are hormone-free/antibiotic-free. Hormones and antibiotics are used by many agricultural companies to make animals grow faster and cover up poor living conditions. Consuming antibiotic-free and hormone-free meats will not only help make our food supply safer but also help keep our families healthier. We also serve grass-fed beef. The label “grass-fed” refers to cattle who are given an all-grass diet. Grass-fed meats are higher in beneficial omega-3 fatty acids and Conjugated Linoleic Acid (CLA). Studies show omega-3 fatty acids lower the risk of heart attack, lower blood pressure, and improve brain function. Studies also show, CLA’s may reduce the risk of cancer.
We only serve wild-caught seafood. Wild-caught fish move freely in their natural environment. This freedom promotes a healthier lifestyle for the fish, helping them to develop more lean muscle tissue and in return the wild-caught fish provides a better texture for the consumer. The natural diet of wild-caught fish also gives the fish more vibrant colors (farm raised fish are often injected with dyes to give its flesh more color). Wild-caught fish is generally healthier (higher in omega-3 fatty acids) and less contaminated than farm-raised fish.
All of our fruits and veggies are organic or pesticide-free and in most cases locally grown. Our fruits and veggies have been grown by farmers who don’t use synthetic herbicides, insecticides or fungicides.
