  • I remember years and years AND years ago, well before I ever knew how to perform an exercise correctly, watching Dad lift weights in our basement.  I’m sure I once thought “one day, that will be me.” I’m certain Dad had me playing catch well before I could walk, and later curling a wooden broomstick mimicking “Dad’s weight set” not long after.  Over the next decades that would pass, Dad continued to lead successful coaching, strength/conditioning, personal training, and P.E. teaching careers (eventually retiring from P.E. in 2017). Not long ago, over the 2017 Christmas holiday, I approached Dad about jumping on board our team at the studio.  Today, I’m honored to say that Brad Sr. is a part of this team.  With Dad on board, it’s about to get real, FAST.

  • If you only have a few minutes in your day for a quick workout, try this!

STRATEGY: 20 seconds of exertion followed by 10 seconds of rest for a total of 8 sets = 4 minutes 
EXERCISE: Burpees

If you have 10 minutes to spare, rest for 2 minutes between 4 minute rounds and then repeat.

How many push-ups can YOU do in 4 minutes?! Ladies, modified (from the knees) and Guys, from the feet!

Start the clock while in the top of the push-up position (arms fully extended and body straight). Make sure to get full range of motion on each rep for them to count (all the way down and all the way back up). Rest as often as you need throughout the 4 minutes time frame although keep the clock rolling at all times.  Comment your total rep count once compete and the winner brings home studio swag!
